Hello Everyone!

My name is Alejandro Sandoval, or Alex, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing privately in Pasadena California, MFC#  89577.

I graduated from UC, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Chicano Latino Arts & Humanities.

I went on to get trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and worked my way through graduate school at Pacific Oaks College where I graduated in Marriage & Family Therapy with a specialization in Latinx Families.

13 Years in Practice
Masters & Bachelors Degree
Evidenced Based Treatment

I am formally trained in evidenced based therapeutic practices such as structural family therapy (Multidimensional Family Therapy), individual trauma modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting, TRM (Trauma Resiliency Module), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Seeking Safety, MAP (Managing and Adapting Practice), CORS (Crisis Oriented Recovery Services), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) amongst others.

I have spent years working in community mental health, as a school based therapist and as a clinical supervisor managing multiple clinical teams and departments. Currently in private practice, I specialize in working with men, specifically, men who are struggling with relationships, emotional intimacy, and connection. I was fortunate enough to be trained by Dr. Hershel K. Swinger in his Men in Relationships Group (MIRG) for the Project Fatherhood program. I use a cultural trauma lens to thoroughly process unresolved concerns that continue to get in the way of living your life and connecting with others. If I seem like a good fit for you, send me a message or give me a call and let’s see how we can work together.
