Tigran Vardanyan

License type & number : AMFT #128889

I am an Armenian-Argentinian cis-man living in Los Angeles, CA, since 2017. I have worked as a therapist with a neurodiverse population since 2013, and I received my Licensure in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina in 2016.

For several years I worked as a school psychologist with students from middle school and high school. After graduation, I joined a team at the Psychosomatic Unit of the Hospital Durand in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I worked with adults struggling with trauma, psychosomatic issues, and substance use.

In 2017 I moved to Los Angeles, CA, where I pursued an M.A. in MFT at Alliant International University. I graduated in 2021 with an award for my outstanding academic achievements and participated in the 2020 FACE conference presenting my work titled “Who is in Therapy When The Subject is Silenced?” with my professor and mentor, Iman Dadras, Ph.D.

My experience as a trainee consists of working with adolescents and families at The Maple Counseling Center and Miracle Mile Community Practice, where I gained more experience working with teenagers, adults, and couples. I have worked in community mental health, where I worked proximately with Latinx families and adolescents.

Who & How I work:

I like to work gently and compassionately with clients at their own pace. I focus on working with teenagers and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma, as well as issues related to gender and racial identities. I am passionate about working with men who have difficulties engaging in relationships and emotional connections. Additionally, I work with couples that struggle with communication and intimacy or have experienced rupture or conflicts related to infidelity.

My goal is to help my clients develop a deeper connection to their most authentic selves. I work collaboratively with my clients and specialize in the best treatment for them. I use a blend of psychodynamic and trauma-informed techniques to address the roots of your core emotions and help integrate your mind and body to reach your healing potential.

I offer both in-person and online appointments. I like to think of the first appointment as a time to decide if we both think we might be a good match for each other.

Therapy can be a safe space to help you address your struggles and gain the support you need. Please reach out and let us begin this journey. I look forward to meeting you.
